Baja Event

Baja SAE Illinois 2014

Date: June 4-7, 2014
Location: Edwards, IL
The Society of Automotive Engineers Baja SAE competition is an exciting and challenging collegiate engineering challenge. Teams of students compete in designing, manufacturing and testing an off-road vehicle that must hold up under both punishing dynamic events in the dirt and comprehensive static examination by professional engineers.

Students that participate in Baja SAE are best-in-class. They simultaneously manage the rigors of an engineering curriculum while gaining hundreds of hours of real-world experience in engineering design and manufacturing. They have motivation, initiative, and hands-on knowledge that separate them from their peers.

In other words, they are just the kind of potential new engineering hires you dream about.

The Baja SAE Illinois 2014 competition will be held at the Caterpillar Edwards Demonstration & Learning Center in Edwards, IL on June 4-7, 2014. One-hundred teams composed of almost one thousand students will be attending from across the U.S and as far as Russia and India.

Coordinating and executing an event of this scale requires significant resources, both in the form of volunteers and financial support. We cannot do it without you!

We invite you to become a sponsor of the 2014 Baja SAE ILLINOIS event and enjoy a variety of benefits. We are also looking for volunteers to help staff the event, so please contact us if you are interested in watching the tough competition first-hand while lending a hand. All donations are tax-deductible.
